I’m at the salon. What a cover; what a makeup design!

I just saw the runway reviews of Balmain and Lagerfeld’s 2009 spring collection and they are all so cool!

Fashion Wire Daily says Balmain is “sexy french chic,” and it certainly is! Check it out, top left.

One disturbing trend though is the huge linebacker shoulder look. It always makes me think of really bad business suit looks from the 80s. Not sure why that’s such a big trend for spring 09, but there are plenty of fabulous looks in these two collections.

Fortunately, there will continue to be plenty of metallics, sequins and glamour for the next big season, so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing some of these themes out in every day.
